Sharing New Experiences Together is Good for Your Relationship... and Romantic

A Website I enjoy visiting is lovingyou.com. Among other interesting venues on the site, it has a Romantic Travel page. I recently enjoyed a rather discerning and helpful article entitled “Romantic Weekend Getaways” by Jennifer Good (lovingyou.com/travel/weekendgetaway).

As I have suggested in my pop-psych and self-help books, nonetheless, if you and your significant other are planning an evening, day or weekend get-a-way, it is good to consider going to a place (e.g., restaurant, waterfront hotel, mountain cabin, bed-and-breakfast) neither of you have been to before and doing something (e.g., snorkeling, hiking, canoeing) neither of you have done before. As you continue to build your together-history and add new collective memories, it’s good to enjoy new experiences together. I also would add that there’s an added bonus – such experiences can be very romantic.

Enjoy, Bill
